 The Stettler Auction Mart was founded in 1953 by C.Q.(Charlie) McKay and Ace Pratt with the first sale on August 18, 1953.  The Mart has remained in the hands of the McKay family ever since.  The current owners of the Stettler Auction Mart are J & M Abel and G & K Hayden.  Both wives being daughters of the original owner, Charlie. 

 By Alberta standards, the Stettler Auction Mart is a mid-sized auciton selling 70,000 cattle and 1000 horses each year.  They are a service and community oriented business offering a full-range of agri-services, including---
